Ms. Peck’s class visited Ms. Klein’s room to learn about greater than, less than, and equal to. Students practiced comparing numbers, using the correct symbols, and working together to solve problems. By the end of the lesson, they were confidently identifying which numbers are larger, smaller, or equal.

From 7:10–7:30 AM parents and guardians may join in on the fun by signing in at the front office and escorting their student to the library to find their next great read before the school day begins!
*Please note: students must finish shopping by 7:30 AM to avoid interrupting instruction time.*

The groups worked together to draft a plan and then put the plan to the test. armed only with foam blocks, clay, popsicle sticks, foil and glue our young builders set out to weather the spray bottle storm!

of National Bullying Prevention Month.
This is a day when we can come together to send a visible message of
building commUNITY through kindness, acceptance, and
inclusion.
The call to action is simple: wear and share the color orange.

Last week a few of our Student Council leaders and their advisors Ms. DeLeon and Ms. Crabtree took a trip down to the Dock Jackson Jr. Professional Learning Center here is what they had to say about their experience.
"We had the incredible opportunity to take six 5th grade students to the TEPSA Student Leadership Conference, an engaging, high-energy event designed to develop strong campus leadership skills. Through hands-on activities, group collaboration, and even singing and dancing, students built their communication, teamwork, and service skills. These workshops empower students to lead effectively, foster a positive school spirit, and make a meaningful impact in their communities." -Mrs. DeLeon
Here are a few inspiring quotes and lessons that stuck with our students from the workshop:
Teagan Chandler: "It's not about me, it's about WE!"
Lillian Ball: " Be a leader and show everyone how to be better."
Kylie Williams: "If you're a leader that means you always believe in others."
Victorya Thomas: " We learned to be respectful and kind."
Teagan Gaddis: " Great leaders reach out and meet new people. Great leaders must learn to think differently and look for new ways to solve issues."
Halstead Elementary is so proud of these outstanding students for representing our school with such enthusiasm, respect, and leadership. 💙💛
